This exhibition from the Parramatta Heritage Centre reveals the stories and experience of the many women who found themselves torn away from the lives they knew and thrown into an unfamiliar landscape in Australia. It includes rarely accessible objects from the early colony, art from significant Colonial artists, and is drawn from national, state and regional public and private collections.
