Stretching from the many millennia of Aboriginal pre-contact history through to the years of convictism, free settlement, and into the Bjelke-Petersen era and beyond, Professor Evans will take you on a journey into the colourful, surprising and at times disturbing saga that is the history of this unique Australian state.
The course draws from both Professor Evans acclaimed book, A History of Queensland, and the State Library’s significant collection of heritage items, to provide a fascinating insight into Queensland’s past. With places limited to 15 people, don’t miss this incredible opportunity to discover Queensland’s history with one of the world’s foremost experts on the topic.

Six week course every Mon from 1 Mar to 12 Apr (excl 5 Apr Easter public holiday), 6pm-7.30pm OR every Wed from 3 Mar to 7 Apr, 6pm– 7.30pm.
