It is estimated that one in ten Queensland females is or was a Girl Guide during the course of her life. The Queensland Guide Archive and collection displays photographs and memorabilia covering 100 years of the diverse training of Girl Guiding. Reminisce or learn about what Guiding offers. Hands-on materials include a Morse Key, flags for signalling semaphore, lifeline to throw, slide shows, recorded songs, puzzles and other artefacts relating to Guiding skills. The building in which the archive is located has previously been used as a Girl Guide hut.
Queries and visitors for the Girl Guides Qld Archive are always welcome. Please phone to arrange a visit.
