Your guide, the archivist from the Mater Archives and Heritage Centre, will not only point out Mater’s rich heritage architecture but will also tell you about the contribution the Sisters of Mercy have made to Brisbane’s health and welfare since 1906. The tour will feature ‘Aubigny Place’, the first Mater Private Hospital (1910), which was designed by renowned architect Robin Dods. We will also take in the Sisters of Mercy Convent and Chapel and other significant buildings.
